The solution
ASTRA (AI-enabled tactical FMP hotspot prediction and resolution) is an AI-powered tool that identifies potential traffic hotspots in airspace up to an hour in advance, offering targeted strategies to help air traffic managers prevent traffic congestion. Through predictive alerts and clear explanations for each proposed action, ASTRA aspires to bring safer, more efficient air traffic flow.

The low number of participants was due to the niche nature of the group, as FMPs (Flow Management Positions) are few and have limited availability due to their work commitments. In this type of project, having a small sample is expected, as it is part of an exploratory research initiative. The concept will be further examined in future projects to gain deeper insights.
